    If you’re after a .co.uk I find http://www.oneandone.co.uk quite competitive.

    They’re not too bad for .com’s but they’re far from cheapest for hosting so only buy if you know where you’re getting hosting from.

    It’s worth looking around for a hosting package that’ll suit you and you may get the domain name for cheaper/free when you sign up.

    Godaddy.com for domain names, http://hostgator.com for hosting.

    Be ware of going for cheap domain names. I went for a cheap domain name, and discovered after that it was automatic renewal, no way to change it. Oops. Godaddy is great.

    For domains, you don’t really get anything more from the expensive registrars than the cheap ones. I personally get confused by Godaddy every time I log in though.

    Their simple and really cheap (more so if your from the UK :P ).
    Haven’t had any issues with them and they don’t force you to keep the domains with them.

    You can get the auth code anytime on the domain control page.
