   Not More Cost….Just a Little Bit amount Difference…Because of the storage and maintenance..etc,,
   I am not having the Experience in Australian web hosting Company….I registered the Domain Name at Relaible cost here

   Try out www.azurenx.com for web hosting and for domain registration go with with go daddy.
   I personally use azurenx.com from past 2 years and have faced no issues with it. Good technical support and reliable servers with good security and 99.99 % uptime.

   I’m in Australia and have been using Hostgator – http://tinyurl.com/hgplans

   They have a 99.9% uptime and some great support – live chat, phone and email

   Usually you wouldn’t go with the cheap hosts because they can be unrealiable, however, Hostgator is huge so they really can offer it at a discount because of their size.

   I’d recommend their Baby Plan (under web hosts) which gives you unlimited domains, space and bandwidth so you can have as many different websites as you like – all you’ll be paying for is extra domains.

   Why does web hosting costs more than domain name registration,

   Because domain dont use any resources its like just an entry in a database that this domain belongs to this person from this date to this date.

   Where as a hosting use resources u have a computer that is running somewhere is world and on the computers hard disk there is folder where ur keeping ur site and that computer is using electricity and internet thats what ur paying for.

   There are number of companies for hosting it totally depends on your website what kind of hosting is suitable for you.

   If u have small website with very less number of users per month i would suggest 50webs/bluehost/hostingpad they are cheap with good up time for small websites.

   next step is moderate traffic ur processing some kind of data taking inputs giving outputs 2 names come in my mind are hostgator and godaddy. both are a little expensive and there service is also better when it comes to dynamic websites.

   If you want to go hire the perfect everything then go for mediatemple they are expensive as they have made a name for themself being premium host. Sony Adobe Toyota etc all are hosted here.

   So decide what kind of website ur planning to have then decide the host.

   People who recommend a hosting company that isn’t Yahoo get a violation from the YA police. I know, happened to me.

   Yahoo for web hosting would be a terrible choice.

   I used Hostgator and it was great…until there was a problem and their tech support couldn’t figure it out for a week so I had to flee to another hosting company that has proven to be very good in all areas including smart tech support people. I can’t mention their name because of the YA police. But just be sure you are aware that Yahoo hosting would be a terrible choice.

   Domain name is just one URL and there isn’t much support to provide for domain name whereas with web hosting you will be actively using the server resources of the web hosting company plus you’d require a good deal of support from time to time.

   I don’t know about companies in Australia. But I’d advise you not to look for the cheapest option because that way you could end up with a host whose service is very bad and your website keeps going down quite frequently. With one web hosting account, you could host more than 1 website (sometimes without any limit) based on the web host you buy your account from. Have a look at some hosts: http://umakeawebsite.com/reliable-hosting/ . If you could buy on Monday, you’d be able to get 50% off from some hosts because of the Cyber Monday promotions on Nov 29th.

   go to http://www.thehosthunter.com and choose either "99.99%" or "100.0%"

   for uptime.

   There are a few and they’re cheap enough.

    I use Hostgator and they are great. Go for the baby plan which allows you to host unlimited domains and sub-domains. Wait until Monday though as they are having a sale with 50% off.

    Domains are cheaper because they are basically just holding your name for you and keeping some records. WIth web hosting they hold your website data and keep it running for you, huge difference in memory and upkeep costs. You criteria should be price, memory, uptime (most are 99.99% up) free domains may be a incentive it sounds like for you as well. I would start with a cheap host and if it does not work out, or if you want to advance to move on. For a starter a cheap host (under $10/month) should work fine. As far as good hosting companies I would recommend the ones found on http://www.simplehostcompare.com.

    Another thing you should consider is what you want to put on the website, if it has low user interaction (profiles, uploading videos) then a cheap web host should work just fine. Best of Luck!
